We hesitate to declare any number of bike trailer brands or manufacturers 'the best,' but we're going to give you an overview of what the best selling brands are as of right now, and some of the things that make them popular.

If you have heard of Instep, it's because you or someone close to you has recently purchased a stroller. They are also very well known for their bike trailers, which focus exclusively on children. Since they are a branch of Schwinn, you know you can trust the engineering behind these trailers. The wheels are generally about 20 inches, and often the trailers can double as covered strollers. We are a little curious about why they don't produce general purpose bike cargo trailers or pet trailers, but they do a great job with these, so we aren't complaining. Naturally, you are welcome to store your laptop, groceries, or any other thing in one of their top-of-the-line child bike trailers, but from a cost-benefit point of view, we recommend going with something cheaper. Burley bike trailers Living up to their name are the Burley bike trailers, designed for children, pets, and cargo. Perhaps the coolest thing about Burley is that they've really segmented their clientele and provided for each of them very well. If you have gear you need covered, then their massive Nomad bike trailer will do it. Otherwise, for uncovered traveling or toting small bags, you can use their Flatbed or Urban Trailer System. This American company is pushing a remarkably innovative product that can be used as an urban bike, stroller, jogging stroller or combination bike and child bike trailer. Each of the modulations can be achieved in under a minute, making it the perfect solution to urban families with limited storage who want more out of their stroller. Want to take it along? No problem. The Zigo Leader fits in the trunk of just about any economy sized car or standard closet.
Wike bike trailers
With over 15 models to choose from, Wike has positioned itself to be the leader in child bike trailers, dog bike trailers, cargo trailers, and more. They even have two special needs trailers to choose from which can carry occupants weighing up to 150 pounds. We haven't seen that in other bike trailer manufacturers, and are impressed with their innovative thinking. All models are brightly colored for both safety and looks, and many of them fold to be relatively compact for storage or transport.
